BAY COLT by 'DANEHILL DANCER' X 'MAKAROVA'

This colt has everything you could want in a pedigree. He is a son of the outstanding stallion 'Danehill Dancer' out of a 'Sadler's Wells' dam thus combining two of the most potent bloodlines in the world while there are two Champions in his dam's immediate family, a rare occurrence. She is a half-sister to the 1998 Champion 2-year-old filly in Ireland, 'Sundrenched', winner of the Group 1 Fillies Mile at Ascot and one of the first Champions trained by Aidan O'Brien. As a 3-year-old she was Classic-placed, coming second in the Group 1 Irish Oaks. His dam is also a half-sister to the four-time Listed race winner 'French Ballerina'.

The second dam 'Filia Ardross' was the Champion three-year-old filly in Germany in 1989, winning the Group 2 German Oaks and Group 2 German 1000 Guineas equivalents. Trained in the UK after that she proved her class and toughness both there and in France, racing until she was a 5-year-old, winning the Group 3 Select Stakes and the Listed Winter Hill Stakes and being placed in many Group races. She has clearly passed on that class and toughness to her progeny.

The sire 'Danehill Dancer' is one of the leading stallions in Europe and has sired 1000 Guineas winner 'Speciosa', Goffs Million winner 'Miss Beatrix' and Champion Sprinter 'Choisir'. Importantly, the 'Danehill Dancer'-''Sadler's Wells' cross has worked well in recent years, producing Group 3 Park Express Stakes winner 'Danehill Music' (by 'Danehill Dancer' out of a Sadler's Wells mare) and Listed winning, Group 2 placed 'Salut D'Amour' (by Danehill Dancer out of a 'Sadler's Wells' mare).

Furthermore, the Danehill-Sadler's Wells cross produced this year's outstanding filly and four time Group 1 winner Peeping Fawn (by Danehill out of a 'Sadler's Wells' mare) and Group 1-winning two-year-old 'Horatio Nelson' (by 'Danehill' out of a Sadler's Wells mare) while the reverse cross has produced 2006 European Champion two-year-old 'Teofilo' (by 'Galileo', a son of Sadler's Wells out of a 'Danehill' mare).

Also, 'Makarova's first runner, called 'Parsonagehotelyork', was placed third on his only start to date in 2007. This is a top-class pedigree with huge potential.
