BAY COLT by 'MEDICEAN' X 'IN LUCK' (SOLD)

This is a colt by Medicean, a high-class dual Group 1 winner and one of the most prominent young stallions in Europe, already sire of Group 1 winners Dutch Art and Nannina. The dam In Luck is by In The Wings, a triple Group 1 winner and one of the leading stallions in Europe. She was placed eight times on the racecourse and she is a half-sister to two winners, North Up Share who won six races in Japan and Think Tank who won three races in the UK and USA.
The grandam Lucca is a half-sister to a host of top quality, notably tough and classy horses. Luso won 10 races from the age of three to six years including four Group 1 races in the UK, Hong Kong, Italy and Germany and prizemoney of £1,693,891. Warrsan won nine races from the age of three to seven years and also four Group 1 races (including the Coronation Cup at Epsom twice) for total prizemoney of £1,654,000. Another half-brother Needle Gun won the Group 2 Gallinule Stakes at the Curragh and prizemoney of £546,120. A half-sister Cloud Castle won the Group 3 Nell Gwyn Stakes, was placed in two Group 1 races and is the dam of Queen’s Best, winner of the Group 3 Winter Hill Stakes in 2007.
Other good horses in the pedigree include dual Group 3 winner Blue Monday and Group 3 winner Hattan.
This is an absolutely first-rate family and combines tough, classic middle-distance blood on the dams side with classic mile speed through the sire Medicean.
