WARDY’S WONDER CHESNUT FILLY by CHOISIR X BEUCAIRE (SOLD)

This is a daughter of the Champion European sprinter and Champion Australian two-year-old who has made a good start with his first crop of runners in Europe this season siring three stakes winners plus several more Group and Listed placed horses.
This filly’s family also features a rarity in that her grandam was a Classic winner.

Her dam Beucaire is by the 2000 Guineas winner Entrepreneur, sire of great Irish fillies Damson and Vintage Tipple. Beucaire won twice over nine furlongs and placed five times in her career and this filly is her first foal. Beucaire is a half-sister to two other winners including Mayano Sophia, winner of two races in France and second in a Listed race

The grandam Tarascon was a filly of rare quality, being one of the best of her generation at both two and three. At two she won the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes and the following year won the Group 1 Irish 1000 Guineas. She in turn is also a half-sister to two other high-class horses. Mister Monet was one of the leading middle-distance three-year-olds of his generation, winning the Group 2 Prix Guillaume d’Ornano and the Group 3 Rose of Lancaster Stakes before an injury ended his career. Mala-Mala was a leading two-year-old filly of her year and was placed in two Group 1 races, the Moyglare Stud Stakes and the Cheveley Park Stakes.

With Choisir being a grandson of Danehill and Entrepreneur a son of Sadler’s Wells this pedigree represents the very successful Danehill-Sadler’s Wells cross responsible for such Champions as Peeping Fawn and Teofilo.

Wardy’s Wonder was placed third on her first run at Cork in a six-furlong two-year-old conditions race.
