ERINS GIFT BAY FILLY by 'DANETIME' X 'TAWALA' (SOLD)

This is a filly by an outstanding stallion out of a mare from a top-class Aga Khan pedigree which importantly is very current, with several stakes and Group winners produced from it in the last few years alone. This combination of a much sought after stallion and female line make this a valuable filly.

Her sire, the deceased Danetime was an outstanding stallion who has sired many top-class horses including Group 1 winning two-year-old of this year, Myboycharlie. The dam Tawala was unraced but she is by the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes winner Lahib, sire of Group 1 winners and more importantly his daughters have produced Group 1 winners, most notably the 2006 Champion filly in Europe, Mandesha.

Tawala’s half-sister’s Tahara and Taraya are both quality producers of stakes winners which bodes well for Tawala’s breeding potential. Tahara has bred four winners including most importantly Godfrey Street who won the Group 2 Flying Childers Stakes as a two-year-old. Taraya has bred two winners including Messager Du Roi, a Listed race winner in France.

The grandam Tarwiya was herself a classic filly, coming third in the Group 1 Irish 1000 Guineas in addition to winning the Group 3 C.L. Weld Park Stakes among her three wins. She is also a half-sister to the Group 3 Norfolk Stakes winner Blue Dakota and the Group 2-placed Namaya.

This filly has the pedigree to be very speedy with her sire Danetime being a speed influence and with high quality sprinters Blue Dakota and Godfrey Street in her pedigree.
